'PLANTS IN INK' Drawing plants that attract pollinators
Spend time at Paten Park Native Nursery drawing Australian native plants that attract pollinators to the garden using inks and natural materials.
Local artist, Lesley Kendall, will guide you through a series of easy exercises showing techniques she uses in her own work. You will then get to do your own ink drawings with Lesley’s guidance. The class is small and limited to 8 people. Beginners are welcome to come along. A volunteer from the nursery will talk to us about the native plants in our gardens that attract pollinators.

Please wear old clothes or bring an apron. We will be sitting around the big table where the volunteers meet . It is a covered area but it is open to the nursery so please bring along something warm to wear, in case its cool. It is lovely to look out onto all the plants. If it is raining we can move inside.

Let the magic of Nasturtiums ignite your creativity.
Spend a relaxing morning or afternoon drawing and painting tendrils of beautiful nasturtiums, fresh from the garden.
Watercolour artist Lesley Kendall, from Rustling Leaf, will take you through a series of exercises showing techniques she uses in her own artwork. You will then get to do your own paintings with Lesley’s guidance.
The workshops are tailored for small groups and are a perfect place for beginners and for people who would like to explore painting in a relaxed, loose and watery style.
Each workshop will be limited to 8 people.
Tea and cakes will be provided and all art materials will be supplied. No painting experience is necessary.
Location: The crescent room, paper boat press gallery, 60 Ashgrove Crescent, Ashgrove.

You will then get to do your own paintings and drawings with Lesley’s guidance.
The class is small and limited to 8 people. Beginners are welcome to come along.
A volunteer from the nursery will talk about the native plants that we will be using from the nursery for inspiration.

Explore the leafy world around us
Spend a relaxing morning or afternoon drawing and painting autumn leaves with Lesley Kendall.
You will also be making your own simple drawing tools from natural materials.
Artist Lesley Kendall, from Rustling Leaf, will take you through a series of exercises showing techniques she uses in her own artwork. You will then get to do your own paintings with Lesley’s guidance.
The workshops are tailored for small groups and are a perfect place for beginners and for people who would like to explore painting in a relaxed, loose style.
There will be an abundance of leaves in the studio for inspiration. You may also bring your own leaves to paint and we’ll add them to the forest floor.
Each workshop will be limited to 8 people.
Tea and cakes will be provided and all art materials will be supplied. No painting experience is necessary.
